COUNTY UNDER 12 HURLING LEAGUE: The Causeway Under 12 hurlers had a good win over their western
neighbours, Ballyheigue, on Friday evening last. The game was hard fought and some fine skill was displayed
over the hour: full marks to both teams for sporting endeavour. In the end the superior strength of the maroon
lads won the day. Well done also to the Seasiders who battled gamely to the last blast of Michael Leen's
feadóg. Final Score: Baile Thaidhg: 3-5; Ballyheigue: 0-3.  Our thanks to Michael Leen from the Ballyheigue
Club who refereed the match.

THE VICTORIOUS CAUSEWAY TEAM: Stephen Murphy, Colin Dineen, Jason Diggins, Kieran Barrett,

UNDER 14:  The Causeway U14 hurlers had a great win against Kenmare on Friday evening last. The
superior strength of rhe North Kerry boys proved too much for the lads of Neidín who played their hearts out 'till
the end. A lot of skilful play was seen on both sides and a sporting encounter witnessed by the spectators.
Well done all! Final Score: Causeway: 6-11; Kenmare: 2-2.

UNDER 16 HURLING LEAGUE DIV.1: B/heigue V Causeway: In a tough hard close encounter the under 16s
of An Tóchar had the narrowest of victories over the hurlers from the white sands of Ballyheigue. Michael
Burkett's braves gave their all but were denied the laurels i ndeireadh na dála and the last whistle came too
soon. An Tóchar: 4-7; Baile 'Thaidhg: 4-6. Joy for Causeway; heartbreak for Kerry Head! Ballyheigue's Shane
Dunne played outstandingly, won many a ball in front of the Causeway goal, was truly a thorn in the winners'
side and deserved the mantle of ''laoch an chluiche''. Cian O'Sullivan in the no. 3 position and Mikey 'Halloran
in the right corner of the last line of defence stood their ground like men inspired and repelled a huge amount
of maroon bombardment while stylish winger Tony 'Mahony did no favours for the opposing forwards. Tommy
Barrett was the best of the Causeway boys until his retirement through injury and Rickie Keane was in good
form until his ''imeacht gan filleadh'' in the second half. Réiteoir: Patrick Corridan.

THE BALLYHEIGUE BRIGADE: Christopher 'Mahony (cúl báire), Mikey O'Halloran, Cian Ó Súilleabháin, Colin
O'Mahony, Tommy O'Mahony, Pa Egan, Jonathan Regan, Gary Galwey, Florence Lawlor, Kevin Casey, Keith
Corridan, John M. 'Carroll, Pádraig Behan, Shane dunne, Shane Casey. Subs.: Tomás Casey (for K.
Corridan), Páidí 'Carroll, Joe Lawlor.

UNDER 16 HURLING LEAGUE DIV.2: Na Stacaigh V Ard Fhearta: In their first game of the season the Austin
Stack Club boys found the going difficult against the more experienced St. Brendan's team. The Tralee lads
gave good battle and had they been able to take all their chances they might have been neck'n'neck at the 3/4
stage when St. Brendan's pulled away. Ardfert availed of most opportunities and won well. Wing forward D.
Casey was in in top gear throughout the game and D. Costello turned defence into attack on numerous
occasions. John Hussey was sound and in full control in the full-back line. Fearghal Mac Conmara and Greg Ó
Dúlaing gave of their best in the middle of the pitch for the Stacaigh. Cian Mac Gearailt (0-2) and Brian Óg
Caball, with good running off the ball by Jonathan Ó Laoi (0-1), strove with might and mane to penetrate a tight
defence. Lorcán Seymour played with flair and skill, particurlarly in the first half, and was aided by Floyd Ó
Beoláin. Bhí an lá ag buachaillí Ard Fhearta.

ST. BRENDAN'S: D. Mackassey (sa chúl), John Hussey, Gearóid ...., Seán Carney, M. Nolan, Éamonn Ó Sé,
D. Costello, K. Wohze, J.J., D. Casey, David Goggin, Kevin Orpen, Dara Ó Duinnín, Ryan Thompson, Kieran
Fitz.

MUNSTER MINOR BLITZ: Congrats. to the KERRY MINOR hurlers who played outstanding hurling on
Saturday last and had a fantastic win in the final of the Munster Minor Blitz. This great achievement has
encouraged these lads greatly as they continue their preparations for their Munster Championship outing
against Waterford. While this result might surprise some, those close to the team and those who are watching
from the sidelines are aware of the potential of this panel. Gura fada buan iad. Our wish is that the Déise boys
will get an unexpected result in their first round of the Munster Championship!
